How do i know that i'm in love? It was a question i often asked, and i loved listening to how different people would describe love, their eyes lighting up and lips curving into a smile as they spoke of the person with whom they had fallen in love.

 

Love is such a powerful word, yes it is so freely used by people all around the world. But to some people they will shake their heads and say that love, as portrayed in movies is extremely unrealistiv, highly impossible and totally blown out of proportion. I do not believe that love as shown in movies is not feasible; it is just that in real life, there are no end credits. The story does not end with a kiss; it goes on, through latenights at work, misunderstandings and hurt.

Love it seems, can also be extremely fleeting. That, however, does not mean it is not true love. Some love also can be one-sided affair. People are deeply in love with someone who did not feel the same way. Unrequited love is probably the most deeply felt love in this world, yes it is often overlooked.

falling in love is easy. but falling in love with someone who, at the same time, falls in love with you too is akin to striking the lottery..hehe

How is it then tat we can fall out of love just as easily as we fall in love?

I have been trying to figure out all about love ever since i was a teenager. I speak to people who are in love, people who have broken up, and people who are married and have stayed that way..how can you be sure that when we exchange marriage vows, it is true love tat will last forever?

I once think that people gamble in the casino, but to me, the biggest risk of all is falling in love. Love, as i have slowly discovered, can be a double edged sword. Love can be the most wonderful feeling in the world; yet it can just as easily be the hardest, most hurtful and extraordinarily painful feeling one ever experinces. But till i met my current boyfriend. My perception of these had finally came to an end.

 

Wat differentiate a relationship from friendship is the level of expectations. It is humanly impossible to have no expectations when it comes to love.To me, when one is 'just friends' with another person, one is able to accept criticism, lack of consideration, and negative coments without taking things personally. But, when one is in love, every little thing hurts- it is like handling over a very sharp knife for the other person to cut you iwith. I know with certainy that i have been in love. I have been unbelievably happy that it was reflected in every word. I uttered and every motion i made. I have also been so incredibly sad that it felt like darkness had settled permanently over my heart.

There can be different degrees of love. Some people crave heart thumping, butterflies in stomach, you are like the air that i breathe kind of love; while others prefer a steadfast, gradual, you are also my best friend sort. But no matter wat sort of love it is, the story remains the same. Simply loving someone is not enough. Either we love and leave it to fate, or we love and work hard at staying in love.

 

Whether Love is happily every after is truly up to us..
