Bldg tech exams started at 10.40am and by the time i finished was almost 12pm. It wasnt tat tough afterall burning midnight oil is not a waste. After completing the test, left the archi hall with zun hong and then i called kenny to meet in campus.

 

Depart to Malacca at 12.30pm, sticking to the speedlimits at only 110km/h with my iswara. Reached ayerkeroh at 1.30pm and then it took us another 30mins to reach the inner town. Upon reaching, mark was taking some of the pic of our journey. We reached the town centre and the first stop was at the hotel..unload our luggage from the trunk and walked into the hotel. Called judy and she told me tat she got ourselves a room which is room number 101. I passed my keys to the jockey to get my car parked in the hotel parking and then i walked up to the room. I was so delighted tat i got the same room 'family suite' which i stayed in for the last visit. Sewei and Judy was sleeping on the double bed, i got the single bed and 3 other international students was staying with us as well.

Unpack some stuff, got myself ready and left to stadhuys to gather around, fadzil gave a little brief about wat we should do and then left to our respective sites which is Site 2. Then entrance to the culturer town..

some sketches done and wrote a little of the analysis for tomorrow's tutorial at 8am. Photos taken to see the details and facade of the building, the malacca river, existing building around, activities which was done around the site. etc

 

It was almost 5pm and we walked back to the hotel n headed to judy's fathers office to get the site plan. Chat a little, went to pay a visit at the grandfathers' shop..which was design and built by judy's dad. We have free tidbits to munch in the hotel..hehe

then back to the hotel, trying to nap but it was just couldnt do it, getting frustrated..took my shower, changed and waited for others to get ready and left to dinner. Kenny and mark came over to our room and they are so suprise to see our room.  I love to see their facial expression when they come into the room..its really funny.

Min KOng came and then we went dinner with 2 cars. We had ikan bakar in some medan udong ikan bakar restaurant. At first we decided to go eat satay, but unfortunately they do not sell satay. So we ordered ikan bakar-stingray, one original and one spicy, sweet and sour fresh water fish, some otak otak and 2 packets of nasi lemak for dinner. Satisfaction..!! haven't eaten since morning i was running out of energy, and after replenishing my energy, went back to the hotel, and started sketching our work. Shared photos in Kenny's laptop and we sat there n started sketching. Min KOng, mark and myself was having so much fun..hehe

Judy and sewei on the other hand was doing it in our room..

 

when they're both done with their sketches, judy came into room 105 where we are, n started chatting with us. When am done, i was so desperate to go sleep, after not having enough sleep for the past few days preparing n worrying for midterm test..

was lying down on the bed, almost falling asleep when wingy honey called, chat for awhile when judy came to my bed and ask to get prepared..cos we're going out yumcha. when i asked with who..she said 'everyone' which i thought will be a big group. But when we gather around the lobby, there's only a few of us, which is min kong, judy, mark, a guy walked out to the nearby mamak stall. I was walked like a walking zombie cos i was so sleepy..after reaching the mamak stall, they ordered their food, and i ordered a teh tarik kurang manis (less sweet). Min kong ordered 15 sticks satay and then i had one batang.

After finish makaning, we walked back to the hotel, got into my pyjamas, brushed teeth, face washed, and before calling it a day, i made a last call to wingy darling to say goodnight.

then i covered myself with blanket and fell asleep after tat.

 

 

Alarmed rang at 6.33am, but i off it and went back to sleep. Then after tat i woke up at 7.03am by myself..do not want to wait in a long queue to shower, i had to wake up earlier than others to get myself prepared. When am done, i woke judy and sewei up..

those africans gals are still sound asleep in the rainy and cossy morning. 3 of us got ready and went down to the hotel galerie cafe to have our free breakfast. I had milk and toast breads with lots of butter, char kuey teow and some sausages.

Done with breakfast, went up to the room to get some business done..hehe and then was suppose to meet at the lobby at 10am with others to visit the cheng ho museum located along jonker street. Walked there while its still drizzling. I on the other hand, didnt care much cos i was yacking on the phone with LKC  from hotel lobby all the way to the entrance of the museum. After ended the conversation, we went in and then to the AV room. The staff play us a historical movie about cheng ho and the ship which is known as the treasure ship, it was apparently the biggest ship in the world 400 years ago. hahaha..

in tat dark and cossy room, i was feeling so sleepy..after the show ends, we were separated into 2 grps of 40. gals and guys with a different tour guard. Ours gals was Mdm Yong. She really talks lots and in the fast pace. Talking about cheng ho originally from a malay family, and how he got captured and became a mongolian, then a eunuch and the best helper for the emperor or china..

things tat he traded with half of the country, malacca was one of it..and the last 7 trip tat he went out, finally he was fell ill and passed away..but some ppl do believe tat he's still alive either in south america or in the south of indonesia.

He's a chinese mix turkish guy..tat is why he's tall n mdm yong said tat he's a handsome guy. well only to some ppl..

anyway, we spend almost an hour and a half in the museum for Rm5. After tat, I got into the the souveniers shop to get some souveniers for my sisters and friends. Later, we headed to the best cendol stall nearby to have our malacca delicacies. YummY..!!

After enjoying our meals and cendol, we walked back to the hotel, it was 2 ish and it was still drizzling..and so, i napped in the room for almost 2 hours.  woke up at 4 ish pm and then min kong call us on our room phone, asking if we want to hang out in our sites. I then called mark to see if he wants to follow us. We then walked to the sites, took photos of the evening activities and then sketch some details..then we followed judy back to the hotel for our Friday night fever..*grins*

I was quite worried about wingy honey as well...but i believe everything will be all rite..!! Have faith in urself!

A place where ppl gather around..bistro and pubs will be pack with ppl, Others will be queueing for their turn to order their food in the baba's restaurant. we first went to get our stuff, which is judy's pants, my sequins slippers, my coconut husk necklace and then looking for mum's crystal bracelet, and also chiun's mee suah.

walked to the baba's restaurant to have our dinner. I shared a bowl of durian cendol with judy and then a baba laksa for myself. It was filling, and yummy. Most of the food in malacca are spicy, and so i had to drink lots of water. walked to the other half of the street after dinner and stopped by in one of the stalls which does temporary body art. Judy was interested and so is mark, they stopped there and started flipping thru the pages of those books placed on the table to find their own desire design. Judy found alien kinda symbols which are rounded to be drawn on her right ankle. I found mine butterfly and got it drawn on my left side of my ankle.  On the other hand, mark and min kong got themselves a tribal designs and got it drawn on the left arms and the other the opposite side.

The stall was nearly the last to close..sorry mate..hehehe

 

we then walked back to the hotel room, had a short discussion on our sites and how are we gonna do our site model on tues.  we were separated into zones combining ppl from sites 1 and 2 to do the model togehter. and by the time we are done discussing it was almost 2am. In between wingy honey called..i could feel tat he was not very happy and obviously shocked of wat those lecturers have said. All i could give him was moral support which i think it doesnt seem to work, cos i needed it more than him. *sigh*

anyway, send those guys out and then went to sleep..it was definitely a tired day..but it was indeed fun.

 

 

after agreeing of wat we should do, went up to the hotel and took our luggage to the car. Andrew helped us all to checked out. Thanks lots!

and then drove our car to our respective sites. Photos, drawings, sketches..etc. and then we headed back to KL straight from site. we stopped at the chicken rice ball shop to take away 8 packets. We then

stopped at tan KIm Hock for awhile to get some dodol for my kai ma and zun HOng. Kenny got some stuff tat he wants as well.

 

After everything was done, we left the town and headed to the highway. We then stopped at our firs stop to have our lunch which are those tar pau-ed chicken rice balls. Yummy..

and after tat, kenny followed judy's car back to puchong, and the other guy followed mine to drop him off at damansara. It nearer so we swapped passengers.

after dropping mark off and headed back home, it was about 4ish. came online..which i've missed so much, nudgedarling and had a quick shower. I then napped since he was doing his culture assignment from 4 ish till 6pm and then back to sleep again till 8.09pm. Later tat night, went to sleep at 2am and then woke up today at 10.30am

I do admit am a pigger...!! heheheehe..i was so tired. can't feel it when am driving. took us about 1 hour 15 mins to reach kL. Lots of cars along the way.

Anyway, it was a fun malacca site trip.. Lots of fun, lots of laughter. I'm glad..

 

 

1st of Sept (Friday)

 

After my Project 1 presentation which went smoothly i hurried back home, got myself ready, and left to work..as a promoter in the 'Mummy n Me' Fair which held at midvalley. I reached there at almost 1pm and lucky me which got myself a nice parking space. Anyway, i called my boss (joseph) when i was walking into the complex heading to the exhibition hall which was on the 3rd floor..he came out and greeted me, he had this familiar face which i couldn't recall where i've seen him before..but he remember. After lunch, i did remember he used to work for BODUM the famous coffee maker which he was the guy who demostrated to me and my other fellow colleagues how those coffee makers work in my previous promoter job.

Stayed most of my time at the stall to learn about the product and remembering the name of each baby bags and of course the price. But nevermind the price cos most of the bags are mostly for display only.

Lots of customers come asking for a price, but i could see their disappointed face after they've been told tat it's NOT FOR SALE..i do admit those colours and the design of the bags are really kewll...no longer to be the old fashioned ones. 'ALLERHAND' is the brand, it's german design. Various design, colours, shape and sizes i would say..and all of them are very stylish and could even hook on to the stroller. Never had seen such a practical diaper bags before. It does not only function as a baby bags, but it can be as kids n school bags, family lifestyle bags, and as travelling and even for sports. COlours comes in range of sunflower - which have bright red, orange n yellow , rouge - bright pink and red and black as border, Urban- which have blue, beige and brown, and Power- which have green, brown and not so bright orange.

The bags really had enlighten me..those german kuai lous are really clever , innovative tat can come out in such bags..

 

The price for our bags are quite high compare to the normal bags..but it's to me its reasonable compare to samsonite..so unfortunately, we didnt get any bags sold for the first day..

stall closes at 8.50pm and we left..

 

2nd Sept 2006

 

second day of work and it's a full day for me..from 1030 to 2100. *sigh* anyway, was hoping tat we could sell something that day..moreover it's on a saturday..there arent any reason for us not to sell any where there's lots of pregnant mummies around..

Product from a 10% discount raise to a 15%..

It was a cold day..and i was told tat it was raining heavily outside. Finally we got one Nautica bagpack sold to this cute couple. hehehe..

no price negotiation and it's SOLD...it was great. Made some friends with the opposite stall which was selling diapers..hahaha

Don't blame me..i was most ofthe time left alone in the stall..i need to talk to someone k. while standing outside giving out brochures, i saw jason lo our Hitz Fm deejay with his cute little gal.. such a waste i didn't get to see his wife.

The event was great..lots of competition for the kids..story telling..etc. Successful event i would say. But till tat very day, i still do not understand or at times i do not even know how to answer quest from customers.. To me..all these are none of my business...am just there for my PAY...*grins*

It was a long day..tired of course..and lots of not so good stuff happened!! *shake head* i do not want to mention..but it's really hard. But thank you eelyn for help..!! muaks n hugs.

3rd sept 2006

 

Last day of exhibition, got a warning letter from the event organiser tat we shouldn't close the stall before 9pm. But too bad..its our last day..my boss and myself planned to start packing at 1915. Anyway, saw more ppl today..Yuen the ex '3R' host was one of them..she came in with her youngest son and her husband..she's a very friendly lady..very nice to talk to. POor her..the husband went off with the stroller without her. She didnt come back to get any of our bags after that..*sigh* NVm, we get to sell about the limited edition messenger bag which Jacky was using on his latest Hongkong show..haha and a doctor lady came to get the diaper bags. Well..my customers did keep their promises for coming back. Thanks lot hIps.

I stand most of the time..carrying one of those bags with me as so called advertising. More friends were made..one event manager, some stalls guy and a kindergarten owner from singapore. darryl was his name..with his boss catherine. They're looking for gals to work for them for the next mummy event. I just told them tat i can't promise them anything..i had project 2 coming up soon. But it's cool. went Lunch at cocoon home and shirley made me coffee..

Eventful..fashion show for mummies...good game mann!!

 

We started packing at about 7 ish and by the time we finished is already almost 9. We do not have any trolley..and our boxes are heavy..

pheww..i just carried the lightest box and the posters back to cocoon home and i called it a day..

mum and tar cheh was waiting for me there d..so happie to see them..

got home had my dinner, chat with wingy dear..and went to bed.

sorry for being an arse honey! am really disappointed.. but it's all cool now
